The most useful official FAQ answers
The March 12, 2026 Launch FAQ is one of the strongest search-intent pages Pearl Abyss published before release. It answers the questions players actually ask before buying, downloading, or launching the game.
Launch and pre-load timing
Pearl Abyss said Crimson Desert launches simultaneously worldwide on:
- March 19, 15:00 PT
- March 19, 22:00 GMT
- March 20, 7:00 KST
The same notice said pre-load opened on March 17 at the matching regional times for PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Microsoft Store, and Steam.
Internet requirements
This is one of the most important practical answers.
Pearl Abyss says players need an internet connection for the initial setup and day-one patch so the latest version can be installed. After that, the game can be played offline, but later updates still require internet access to download.
Cross-save and controller support
The official FAQ is also explicit here:
- Cross-save is not available between different platforms.
- The PC version supports Xbox controllers and DualSense over USB.
Languages
Pearl Abyss says the game interface and subtitles support 14 languages, including English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish (Latin America), Traditional Chinese, Portuguese (Brazil), and Turkish.
The same FAQ says full voiceover is available in English, Korean, and Simplified Chinese.
Editions and upgrades
The official FAQ also clarifies edition details:
- There is no dedicated upgrade option from Standard to Deluxe or Collector's Edition.
- The Deluxe Pack can be bought separately after launch if you already own the full game.
- The Ultimate Pack from the Collector's Edition is not available separately.
